Apple Replica Watch Series 2 Smart watch Debut

Apple Watch Series 2 Smartwatch Debut Watch Releases

Almost exactly two years ago today in 2014, Apple shocked the replica watch and consumer electronics worlds when they announced the Apple Watch. Not calling it a smartwatch, but rather just the Apple “Watch,” now two years later in 2016 we are with Apple in San Francisco for the launch of the Apple Watch 2 (Apple Watch Series 2, S2). Much has changed in the smartwatch world over the last two years, but from an overall quality and functionality perspective the Apple Watch is still crowned king, even though plenty of new products have been released in the meantime. First, let us take a quick look at the last two years of the Apple Watch and then move on to discussing the brand new release.

Quick Look At The First Two Years Of The Apple Watch & Its Effects

Competition from both Google Android Wear-based products and Samsung with its Gear family of Linux-powered Tizen operating system-based replica watches are offering increasingly exciting, albeit different products to that of the Apple Watch. Also during this time, we’ve seen a number of traditional replica watch companies attempt to get into the smartwatch (or smart wearable device) market with mixed outcomes.

Apple Watch Series 2 now with a white ceramic case option.

Among the relatively few smartwatch success stories from the traditional replica watch industry was the TAG Heuer Connected as well as the Casio WSD-F10, and the niche-appeal Breitling Exospace B55 Connected. Still, other brands didn’t even try to fight against Apple but rather integrate them, as German Sinn did with this “double replica watch” strap meant to hold both an Apple Watch and a traditional replica watch.

Many of these products (such as from IWC, Montblanc, and Victorinox Swiss Army) never really came to fruition, which was a disappointing turn of events for many brand fans – and perhaps a relief for some others.

Factors such as bloated pricing policies and a reliance on a flawed (as well as archaic) wholesale product distribution system has much of the luxury replica watch industry on its knees. With that noted, we’ll still say that smartwatches have unfairly been blamed for the economic downturn in the luxury replica watch world, even though I’ve argued on many occasions that while smartwatches in the long term will spell disaster for many under-$1,000 replica watches, it will only be a boon for the luxury side in the long term.

In addition to a relatively rapid evolution of smartwatches and the industry thereof, the last two years since the introduction of the first Apple Watch has been less than pleasant for the traditional replica watch industry.

Speaking of luxury, Apple has more or less retained a top spot not only in smartwatches but also in high-end smartwatches with its Apple Watch models in finely-made steel cases with sapphire crystals and ceramic components… even though I believe most models sold are the Apple Watch Sport versions which have aluminum cases and lack materials such as sapphire crystal and ceramic. So even though the Apple Watch has aged respectably, it is time for a new one.

Apple Watch Series 2 Smartwatch Debut Watch Releases
The most recent “big news” from Apple in regard to the Apple Watch came in June 2016 when they announced the upcoming Apple WatchOS 3, which was to be officially released today with the Apple Watch 2, as the latest and greatest operating system for the Watch, promising better performance and additional tools.

It wasn’t until April 2015 that Apple began shipping the Apple Watch, and since then, ReplicaInfo has written about it prolifically. Our Apple Watch coverage has included so far a collection of reviews, a unique focus on the 18k gold Apple Watch Edition, and a discussion of new products and accessories.

Then you also have the large population of people who would consider themselves regular travelers, who probably prefer the always accurate and “in the right time zone” features of the Apple Watch. While Apple (and other smartwatch makers) hasn’t truly gained wide-stream adoption of their wearable connected devices, I think that they are off to the best start – so much so that their efforts in legitimizing the role of smartwatches in the eye of the mainstream public is having positive effect for all smartwatches.

Currently, I believe that the primary users are those looking for health and fitness monitoring, active lifestyle enthusiasts, and people who use the heart rate sensor regularly.

According to Tim Cook from Apple, the Apple Watch is the second best grossing replica watch on the planet, putting it right under Rolex and right above the Fossil Group – and that is a huge deal. Yes, according to 2015 “worldwide replica watch sales,” Apple now beat Michael Kors (Fossil Group) and is aiming directly at “the crown” (Rolex) in terms of volume and revenue. Cook also commented on the fact that many people have learned to rely on notifications delivered from the Apple Watch and that Apple Pay is another major source of use for the popular smartwatch device. Of course, Apple is quick to point out the fact that the Apple Watch continues to be the number-one-selling smartwatch on the planet.

…But let’s return to the current announcement of today which is the newly updated Apple Watch Series 2.

Apple Watch Series 2 – All The Basics You Need To Know

A new Apple Watch is here that adds subtle but important new features such as water resistance, new fitness tracking features, and more battery life. Apple says that the Apple Watch Series 2 is “swim proof” which means it is water-resistant to 50 meters. This is a major improvement over the “splash proof” rating of the original Apple Watch. Part of this was re-engineering the speaker to have a water resistant membrane.

Apple Watch Series 2 Smartwatch Debut Watch Releases

According to Apple, the most sensitive area of the Apple Watch in terms of water penetration was the speaker (which makes sense). So in the Apple Watch Series 2 the speaker actually ejects a bit of water after being under water so as to be functional again. Pretty cool and smart when it comes to creating a much improved water-resistance experience. Apple also includes new fitness metrics and durability tests such as for swimming, and claims that the replica watch will now learn about its owner.

Fitness and gaming? Apple Watch OS3 includes a number of interesting updates including an emergency SOS call feature as well as new replica watch faces and an app that reminds you to meditate (breathing). Steve Jobs was known to be a meditation enthusiast – and those that know this fact may see this feature as the spirit of him in the device (even though some experts disagree exactly what Steve Jobs would have said about the Apple Watch – as he personally wasn’t a replica watch guy…).

What is the Pokemon Go effect on the Apple Watch? Well, Pokemon Go is now a popular mobile game that you can play on the Apple Watch with a new dedicated app. I wouldn’t exactly call it an exciting productivity tool, but for many people Pokemon Go is their activity app, so if you need to gamify strolling around, Pokemon Go on the Apple Watch should be useful and exciting for you.

New Apple Watch Hardware

One thousand nits. That is the brightness rating of the new screen in the Apple Watch S2, which, according to Apple, is the brightest screen that they have ever produced for a device. This should be a great help in ensuring that the screen is easy to view in even the brightest direct sunlight environment.

The Apple Watch Series 2 features a brand-new dual core processor which is claimed to be twice as fast as the original Apple Watch processor. They call it the S2 chip and it runs apps and games much better than before. Such a performance increase will make a noticeable, and in fact widely anticipated improvement in user experience through more fluid animations and better app performance.

Apple also now includes a built-in GPS module in the Apple Watch Series 2. This is similar to some other smartwatches that will be on the market soon. This increases independence from a host phone device, which many users have been asking for. This is a good step in the direction of producing an Apple Watch that is 100% independent from a necessary host device. The Series 2 Apple Watch will use the GPS for both running/jogging applications as well as hiking. Of course, with GPS, developers will have a lot of fun thinking of new uses for the Apple Watch Series 2.

I’m very happy that Apple now offers the Apple Watch in all ceramic. Previously, ceramic was used on the rear of the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition. Now an all-white version of the Apple Watch in super-hard, super scratch-resistant ceramic will be available.

Today, Apple introduced the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus – which it dedicated much of the Keynote presentation to, given how important the smartphone device is to the company. Of course, the iPhone 7 will be the ideal companion to the Apple Watch Series 2, but so will the new Apple Air Pods wireless headphones which use a new W1 chip for a reported far superior listening (and talking) experience with the iPhone as well as directly with the Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2.

Nike & Hermes Partnership Apple Watch S2 Models

Nike says that they worked with Apple to make it the most easy-to-use and simple running fitness device ever. The device also adds a social/community element to the Apple Watch Nike Plus which is meant to help encourage people to be more active and to add some friendly competition to people’s running workout regimens.

Apple further debuted a dedicated Nike version of the Apple Watch S2 in black and yellow (actually, it comes in four color styles) that has a unique perforated strap and is meant to focus on people who use the Apple Watch Series 2 for running and other fitness needs. They call it the Apple Watch Nike Plus.

There will be two new Hermes straps for the Apple Watch 2. One obvious thing to mention is that even though the Apple Watch S2 is new hardware, it is designed to keep working will all the existing Apple Watch straps that are out there. Apple briefly mentioned their continued partnership with Hermes in the Apple Watch Series 2.  That is good news for people who were afraid that they would need buy new straps or accessories for the Apple Watch.

Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2 Pricing & Availability

Interestingly enough, Apple is not immediately discontinuing the original Apple Watch – that they are now calling the Apple Watch Series 1. However, Apple will be upgrading the Apple Watch Series 1 with the same new dual core processor that the S2 is getting. The Apple Watch Series 1 (the Sport model) will have a new starting price of just $269. There has been no mention yet of the pricing for the fuller range of existing Apple Watch Series 1 products.

Apple Watch Series 2 Smartwatch Debut Watch Releases
This is also the same price of the Apple Watch Nike Plus. Apple has thus far been quiet about a lot of details including battery life (even though the battery has been reported to be larger in the S2) and the pricing and availability of various sizes (38mm and 42mm tall) and case materials. The Apple Watch Series 2 Hermes will be priced at $1,149 and the white ceramic Apple Watch Edition will be priced at $1,249.

Apple Watch Series 2 will have a starting price of $369 for the Sport model, which isn’t bad.

We will update you with more information as we get it, but we can report that Apple will begin selling the Apple Watch Series 2 on September 16, 2016, just a few days after the Apple Watch OS3 is released on September 13th. Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 2 in most countries will begin September 9, 2016. apple.com/watch.

Bug Forces Delay of Apple Replica Watch OS 2

Bug Forces Delay of Apple Watch OS 2

Bug Forces Delay of Apple Watch OS 2

Apple Watch owners who had been eagerly anticipating a new software upgrade for their devices will have to wait a little longer as a mysterious “bug” has postponed the release of replica watchOS 2. The updated software was supposed to be available on Wednesday but Apple delayed the release until the unnamed problems could be fixed.

Apple released this statement: “We have discovered a bug in development of replica watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release replica watchOS 2 today but will shortly.”

The new replica watchOS 2 software is supposed to deliver several desirable features like faster performance, being able to answer emails without going to your iPhone and the ability to create your own replica watch face using a personal photo. Coming along with the software update are a new batch of native apps that allow the replica watch to work without being connected to the user’s smartphone.

While we’re waiting for replica watchOS 2 to get de-bugged, there’s more news on the Apple Watch. Industry rumors claim that the device will be coming to Sprint on September 25. The wireless carrier will sell the Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch as well as a selection of accessories from third-party vendors.

Sprint will offer the Apple Watch Sport in 38mm for $349.99 and the 42mm model for $399.99. The Apple Watch in Stainless Steel or Space Black Stainless Steel will be $549.99 while the 42mm model will go for $599.99.

Not-so-coincidentally, September 25 is the day that the latest models of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will go on sale. Customers who drop by the local Sprint retail store to pick up a new smartphone just might be tempted to pick up an Apple Watch to go with it. Maybe by then they will be able to download replica watchOS2 for their new Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch Hermès collection wasn’t the only big news to come out of Wednesday’s press event. Soon you won’t have to put down ten grand to sport some Apple Watch gold on your wrist as a less expensive model will be in stores later this month.

Going on sale September 16 is an Apple Sport model with a rose gold or gold colored aluminum casing for just $349, the starting price for the original silver or space grey version. That’s for the 38mm model, with 42mm models slightly higher at $399. These new cases come with a choice of high-performance fluoroelastomer Sport Bands in antique white, stone, lavender or midnight blue. The introduction of a “real” golden Apple Watch should put a dent in the sales of those gold-plated versions being offered by some enterprising jewelry sellers.

If gold isn’t your thing, there are even more new color choices for the Apple Watch. The Space Black Apple Watch is now offered with a black Sport band. There are also new bands for the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport collections that can be purchased separately plus new colors of fog, turquoise, vintage rose and walnut.

The Apple Watch Edition will be available with an 18-karat rose gold case and midnight blue classic band. Another addition to the line is the Apple Watch with stainless steel case and saddle brown leather band for $649 with 38mm case or $699 for the 42mm model.

Also new is a Product Red Sport replica watch with a stainless steel case and two-toned red leather strap. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this model will go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. These sell for $549 and $599.

These new Apple Watch models can be viewed now at the Apple online store.

Fitbit Exec Disses Smartreplica watches

Fitbit Exec Disses Smartwatches

Fitbit Exec Disses Smartwatches

As the market is flooded with more smartwatches promising to do a myriad of tasks, is there still a place for the plain old fitness band? Woody Scal, Fitbit’s chief revenue officer, says definitely “yes.” In an interview with Bloomberg Business, Scal made a case for why the smartwatch won’t be making the fitness band obsolete anytime in the near future.

The Fitbit exec called smartwatches “more hype than reality” and questioned how useful they really are for the average user. Scal said, “Consumers are still asking, ‘Why do I want one? Why do I need one?’”

Scal also made a case for dedicated fitness devices like the Fitbit, pointing out that they cost less, have longer battery life and appeal to a clearly defined audience of fitness buffs.

Fitbit currently holds a commanding lead in the field of wearable devices, selling an estimated 4.4 million units in the second quarter of 2015 and tripling its revenue from the same period the previous year. Still, the brand faces formidable competition from old rivals like Jawbone and Samsung as well as newer entries like the Apple Watch. The latter has sold about 3.6 million units since going on sale earlier this year, making it the favorite to overtake Fitbit for the number one spot in sales.

Scal went into more detail about the advantages that fitness devices have over smartwatches, most notably that the buyer of a Fitbit usually has clear goals in mind before making a purchase. The Fitbit’s longer battery life allows users to track their activities, heart rates and sleep for days without having to recharge the device. This is in contrast to most smartwatches that require nightly charging.

Scal also pointed out the low prices for the Fitbit, which can start at $60 for a basic model and go up to $250 for the Surge which comes equipped with smartwatch-like features including notifications for calls and text messages. The Apple Watch starts at $350 with several other smartwatches not far behind.

1M Apple Replica Watches Sold in China

1M Apple Watches Sold in China

Have you ever wondered exactly who is buying all those Apple Watches that the company claims to have sold when no one you know has purchased one? Thanks to a data analysis firm, now we know where at least a million of them have wound up.

TalkingData monitored more than 80,000 mobile apps to estimate that over 1.07 million Apple Watches have been sold in China. How did TalkingData arrive at this number? One of the apps monitored was WeChat, China’s most popular chat application with over a billion registered users.

The Apple Watch is currently on sale in 19 countries and China is one of the tech giant’s biggest customers. Just last month Apple CEO Tim Cook promised investors that business in China was just fine and if that figure of 1M+ holds up, he’s telling the truth. Apple is in the process of increasing its retail presence in China, doubling its number of stores to a total of 40 in 2016.

The bad news for Apple is that a large portion of those sales happened shortly after the replica watch was released and demand has diminished in the months since. UBS analyst Steven Milunovich has been carefully tracking internet searches of the Apple Watch and last month stated that the device is trending lower. He estimates that Apple will sell a total of 20 million replica watches in fiscal 2016 and that most of them will be sold in the US, UK, Canada and Hong Kong. Milunovich noted that “China is difficult to read, though Hong Kong can be a good indicator.”

Is the relative success of the Apple Watch in China an indicator of what will happen over the next year or two? Demand from China was an important factor in the high sales numbers for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus so maybe the country can work the same magic for the Apple Watch.

Report Claims Apple Ships 3.6M Smartreplica watches

Report Claims Apple Ships 3.6M Smartwatches

Report Claims Apple Ships 3.6M Smartwatches

Usually the first to toot its own horn, Apple has remained mum on exactly how many units of its smartwatch have been sold since the device went on sale earlier this year. Now a new report sheds some light on how well the Apple Watch has done in its first few months on the market.

A new report from analysts at International Data Corp. claims that Apple shipped 3.6 million smartwatches in the last quarter. This figure is higher than estimated by other analysts and enough to overtake former leader in the smartwatch market FitBit.

This report does not bode well for the makers of fitness bands and would suggest that consumers are turning instead to the type of devices that can perform a variety of functions. A IDC’s Ramon Llamas told CBS News, “People want to get more out of their devices. It’s kind of like the way smartphones overtook basic phones.”

On the other hand, this is promising news for the tech companies and makers of traditional replica watches that have their own wearable devices coming out in the next few months. Unfortunately, it’s still a mystery what the majority of smartwatch buyers are looking for when they shop for a new device. That’s something that will have to be determined by the sales figures for the new crop of smartwatches being launched in time for the lucrative holiday shopping season.

How can the makers of fitness bands compete with the Apple Watch and other competitors? Probably by either making their devices more versatile or by offering the same products at lower prices. Making them more stylish might help, too.

The market for wearables is a new frontier for everyone involved and it will be very interesting to see how this new category of devices evolves to meet the demands of buyers.

Apple Replica Watch Bands/Bracelets Reviews Recommendations

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-64

Most people buying the Apple Watch aren’t seasoned replica watch experts who understand the nuances of choosing and evaluating replica watch straps and bracelets. If you are a seasoned replica watch lover, you might want to pay closer attention to what Apple has done because their replica watch band options are actually quite impressive – even if the Apple Watch isn’t for you.

At launch, Apple made it clear that the Apple Watch was supposed to be something each owner personalizes for themselves, and thus offered a range of Apple Watch band colors and options. The problem is that aside from a few obvious hints, Apple hasn’t made it easy for consumers to know what straps and bracelets are right for them, or how to choose among the many available options.

Apple Watch bands are also one of the more confusing parts of the Apple Watch buying experience. While you can get bands separately from the Apple Watches, not all bands can be purchased separately, and not all bands work with all replica watches (or for all wrists). The purpose of this guide and review is to discuss each of the Apple Watch band and bracelet options while also reviewing them and sharing with you our own recommendations based on your lifestyle, needs, and of course, budget.

For generations, replica watch lovers have known that a quick and cheap way of getting the feeling a “new” replica watch is to change the strap. This process hasn’t always been simple because changing straps on most replica watches requires special tools and, of course, finding the right sizes. Some replica watches make it easy to change straps with various “quick release” systems. However, most of these system make for proprietary strap ends which limit your options. Apple’s system for attaching straps to the Apple Watch is proprietary, but I think we can forgive that, given what Apple set out to create. Also, let’s face it – if Apple can make something that was one generally universal proprietary system… they will.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-58

In any event, the ability to easily change straps on the Apple Watch is a good thing, and consumers benefit from the amount of choices which exist. More so, in addition to the style and look of your Apple Watch changing with a new strap, consumers should think of them like “shoes.” Different shoes are good for different occasions, just like replica watch straps.

A Note About Apple Watch Band Sizing

There are two primary concerns when it comes to choosing the size for your Apple Watch band. First is making sure the band is designed for your Apple Watch case (either 42mm or 38mm), and second is the length of the strap. The first size consideration is very easy to determine because all you need to do is know the model size of your Apple Watch. The second consideration might require you to measure the circumference of your wrist (in millimeters).

Depending on the strap or bracelet, there will be various size options available. The Apple Watch Modern Buckle, for example, has three length sizes, the Apple Watch Sport Band has either a Small/Medium or a Medium/Large length size, and some are “one size fits all” because of their built in adjustability (such as the Link Bracelet). I, for example, wear a 42mm Apple Watch, and because of my smaller men’s wrists, wear a S/M size band. All I am saying is that use Apple’s replica watch band sizing guide before buying a new strap or bracelet sight unseen.

Sport Band

Overview

Directly inspired by the rubber strap design Marc Newson developed for Ikepod, with the Apple Watch Sport Band, Apple was able to create one of the best sport straps around using a custom “fluoroelastomer” material that, in my opinion, is easily to superior to even the best rubber straps.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-44

The strap closes in a manner that is a bit different from most replica watch straps, but once on, the slightly elastic and smooth-to-the-touch material is both comfortable and secure. Apple is able to produce the Apple Watch Sport Band in a range of colors which, initially, is black, white, green, coral, and blue. With that said, there is no reason why Apple is not able to come out with any number of new Apple Watch Sport Band colors in the future.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-62

Even though the Apple Watch Sport Band is the least expensive (though still not cheap) of the Apple Watch straps, it is still a very high-end experience and doesn’t need to be “merely” sporty if paired to the right replica watch in the right way. For instance, the Apple Watch Edition in 18k gold happens to look quite nice on the Sport Band in white.

Apple offers the Sport Band for both the 38mm and 42mm Apple Watch in two lengths – and each length has a good amount of adjustability.

Best Uses

In my opinion, the Apple Watch Sport Band is the most versatile of all the Apple Watch bands and is probably the most all-around comfortable strap. If you are using the Apple Watch for exercise purposes, you are certainly going to want a Sport Band because it is perhaps the only Apple Watch strap that is safe (or desirable) to sweat in and get wet. The Apple Watch Sport Band can be cleaned rather easily, which is a good thing because these will get dirty (especially the white one).

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-48

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-43

Given the color options, the Apple Watch Sport Band is also very versatile from a fashion perspective, which can make the Apple Watch anything from more visually assertive to playful. Consider the interesting move to purchase Sport Bands of more than one color and then mix and match the strap ends for two-tone bands. Okay, maybe that is just for the rather brave – but it can look cool. If you had to own just one Apple Watch strap, the Sport Band would not be a poor option (but you might want more than one color). The Apple Watch Sport Band is good for any version of the Apple Watch.

Coolest Feature

The custom material Apple was able to formulate for the Apple Watch Sport Band is amazing and something even replica watch lovers will want to get their hands on. The legacy of the Marc Newson design is also a welcome detail.

Classic Buckle

Overview

There is a good reason Apple decided to call this strap the “Classic Buckle.” That is because it is the most traditionally designed of all the Apple Watch bands. Produced from a high quality Dutch leather, the “milled” texture of the Apple Watch Classic Buckle strap is very nice, and I appreciate the no stitch, sealed edges of the strap.

I have mentioned that the Apple Watch Classic Buckle is perhaps the Apple Watch’s least “exciting” strap option, but that is merely because it is something people have seen before. With that said, an oldie is a goodie in this regard because not only is the Apple Watch Classic Buckle comfortable, but it also won’t loosen on your wrist and looks pretty good.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-31

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-11

Unlike most of the other Apple Watch bands, the Classic Buckle doesn’t attach directly to the Apple Watch. Instead, the strap attaches to metal loop-style lugs which attach to the Apple Watch case. This lug system allows for the strap to freely move up and down, making for a very secure and comfortable fit.

Apple designed their own very curvy buckle to go on the natural leather strap which looks unique but works rather well. Oddly, even though the Apple Watch Classic Buckle is a very competent and marketable strap, Apple only offers the black version for sale. There is a blue leather version of the Apple Watch Classic Buckle as well, but it only comes with one of the Apple Watch Edition models… with gold hardware.

Best Uses

Those looking for the most traditional replica watch wearing experience will likely prefer the Classic Buckle on the Apple Watch. Apple offers the Classic Buckle for either the 38mm or 42mm Apple Watch, with just one size meant to fit all wrists. That is a positive testament to the versatility of such straps. The Apple Watch Classic Buckle is very secure as well, given the belt buckle strap system, and even when tugged, will not loosen. This is important to note, given that some of Apple’s other bands which use magnetic attachments can loosen if tugged hard enough. Overall, the Apple Watch Classic Buckle is a great default option if you want something safe, simple, and proven. It also works well on any version of the Apple Watch.

Coolest Feature

Great quality leather and very comfortable fit.

Leather Loop

Overview

Easily one of the more innovative bands for the Apple Watch, the Leather Loop is a forward thinking means of adopting the traditional leather strap for modern times. I like the Apple Watch Leather Loop in terms of its style and the very cool magnetic attachment system that Apple developed. Apple used a different leather for this strap than the “Dutch Ecco leather” used for the Classic Buckle. The Apple Watch Leather Loop instead uses Italian Venezia leather which has a different feel and texture.

Apple-Watch-Edition-Yellow-Gold-Review-aBlogtoWatch-102

Inside the Apple Watch Leather Loop is a series of magnets which allow for a buckle-free securing system. The strap folds over itself to size, and one is advised to select the proper length, else the Leather Loop strap end might flop right over your Apple Watch screen. Apple makes the Apple Watch Leather Loop exclusively in the 42mm size for the larger of the two Apple Watch case sizes.

With that said, Apple does offer a nice amount of color variety with the Leather Loop coming in black, light brown, blue, or a stone colored gray. Style wise, the Apple Watch Leather Loop is handsome when you properly match the color to your Apple Watch case as well as your wardrobe.

Apple-Watch-Review-aBlogtoWatch-Chapter-One-22

Apple-Watch-Review-aBlogtoWatch-Chapter-One-15

The Apple Watch Leather Loop doesn’t have a totally secure strap because of the magnets, and that means if tugged, it can loosen or come off. That means you should make sure nothing gets snagged on the strap or it might come off your wrist.

Apple-Watch-Review-aBlogtoWatch-Chapter-One-18

Best Uses

Aside from the space black version of the Apple Watch Sport, the Leather Loop has a more formal appearance that best suits the Apple Watch in steel or the Apple Watch Edition in gold. Here, you also have the brightest color leather options which helps these become more fashionably versatile. Given the ability for the straps to loosen, I don’t recommend the Apple Watch Leather Loop for any sports-related activity.

Coolest Feature

Magnetic closure system throughout entire strap is a very clever design for this Apple Watch band. It is perhaps the most fun band to simply put on and take off.

Milanese Loop

Overview

In some ways, the Apple Watch Leather Loop is simply a leather version of the traditional Milanese replica watch bracelet. That is, if traditional Milanese “mesh metal” replica watch bracelets had magnets. Using a magnet to secure the band when closed is perhaps the most innovative element of the Apple Watch Milanese Loop. While this bracelet has the potential of pulling arm hair, it is perhaps bit more pragmatic than the same-priced Leather Loop band. The Apple Watch Milanese Loop also benefits from a “security system,” as the strap end will not come out of the loop, preventing the replica watch from totally falling off your wrist or being difficult to put on.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-57

While the style of mesh metal bracelets isn’t for everyone, Apple was correct in considering that it looks good on the Apple Watch. Even though this style is classic, being attached to a smartwatch makes it feel fresh again, and the Apple touch is certainly there in the design. Apple produces the Milanese Loop in just one finish, but for the 38mm or 42mm Apple Watch.

Apple-Watch-Edition-Yellow-Gold-Review-aBlogtoWatch-107

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-15

Best Uses

Similarly to the Leather Loop, the Apple Watch Milanese Loop can loosen if pulled on. It would have been interesting to see Apple design a locking system so that once sized, the strap will not loosen if it snags on something. Again, that is more an issue for sport reasons if you need a totally secure replica watch that fits snugs and won’t loosen. So the Apple Watch Milanese Loop is perhaps best for formal or casual wear occasions, but matched with either the Apple Watch in steel or even the Apple Watch Sport in aluminum.

Coolest Feature

Affordable and high-quality means of enjoying the style of a traditional Milanese style replica watch bracelet.

Price: $149

Modern Buckle

Overview

Exclusively available for the 38mm Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition, this is the contemporary analog to the Apple Watch Classic Buckle. The idea here is a magnetic locking buckle. Magnets are used to ensure that upon near contact that buckle closes securely without having to play around with it and wait for a click. One closed, you need to press the pushers on the outside of the buckle to release it – which is a very necessary safety system.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-59

Once again, Apple uses a different kind of leather for this band. The Apple Watch Modern Buckle uses French Granada leather which is the most soft and supple available in any of the Apple Watch bands. The supple nature of the strap is perhaps one of the reasons why there is a $100 premium over the other leather bands for the Apple Watch.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-8

Apple offers three sizes of the Apple Watch Modern Buckle because each version has a limited amount of adjustability – so buyers need to make sure they select the right one for their wrist. Apple does, however, offer four color versions as well as the gold hardware straps for the Apple Watch Edition.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-60

Best Uses

The fun-to-use buckle system will make men jealous of this female focused Modern Buckle, but the style is a bit more decidedly feminine overall. Stuff like this should also make the traditional replica watch industry a bit jealous, given the very slick visual look and engineering. This is perhaps the most formal and elegant of the bands for women, and is a logical “step up” from the more basic Apple Watch Classic Buckle if something more colorful and interesting is needed. This is also a premium option, given that compared to the $49 – $149 prices of the other Apple Watch straps, the Apple Watch Modern Buckle is $249. Consider this the “lifestyle” strap for women who want their Apple Watch to look classy.

Coolest Feature

One of the best buckle designs available in any replica watch today. Brands like Cartier would love to have something like this.

Price: $249

Link Bracelet

Overview

If anything about the Apple Watch is a clear sign to the traditional replica watch industry that Apple is serious about picking up where they left off, then the Apple Watch Link Bracelet is that. No, it isn’t the back of the Apple Watch case, but rather the thing which you see most and actually touch when you are putting the replica watch on and taking it off. Easily just as engineered as the Apple Watch case, the Link Bracelet is a very impressive and very modern interpretation of the traditional steel metal bracelet.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-23

At first glance, the Apple Watch Link Bracelet looks like something designed between minds at Ikea and Porsche Design. There is a modern minimal elegance to it, for sure, but there is also a deep sense of complexity which is gracefully hidden from the eye. The Apple Watch Link Bracelet is made up of over 100 parts, according to Apple, and each one is apparently produced after many hours of careful machining. Apple even claims that the bracelets are hand brushed (the type of polishing on the links) – which is something that happens in the traditional luxury replica watch industry.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-7

I actually believe Apple’s claims because the Apple Watch Link Bracelet uses 316L quality steel with pieces that are individually CNC machine milled. This is what gives the parts their excellent, crisp, sharp look. Most of the best cases and bracelets are the product of CNC machining which takes longer and is more expensive than stamping, but produces really accurate parts. In my opinion, the Apple Watch Link Bracelet – more than any other Apple Watch strap – looks as though it was intentionally designed to go with the Apple Watch product.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-38

Then there is the engineering, which is what really makes the Apple Watch Link Bracelet something the traditional replica watch industry should be jealous of. I am speaking of the brilliant and secure no-tool link removing system which is how you size it for your wrist and how you remove the bracelet from the case. This is something the traditional replica watch industry should have done so long ago.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-4

There is also the matter of the deployant clasp. Apple opted to go with a butterfly-style deployant (probably because it is more symmetrical), and designed a solid-feeling mechanism that, when folded, is virtually flush with the bracelet links. I’ve never seen anything like this, and I am also irritated that no one in the traditional replica watch world (to my knowledge) ever created anything like it. Stuff like this makes it painfully obvious how stuck in the past most people in the luxury replica watch industry are. It’s literally only been a few years that even Rolex has been producing deployant clasps on their bracelets that I would say belong in the 21st century.

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-53

Best Uses

Paired with the Link Bracelet, the Apple Watch looks even more modern. I might even go so far as to say “futuristic” looking. If you want the appearance of wearing the ultimate “today” gadget, then the Apple Watch Link Bracelet is what you need with your Apple Watch. You simply won’t get the same wearing experience with any of the bands – matching the same steel as the case of the Apple Watch, the Link Bracelet is a very tempting yet pricy addition to the Apple Watch.

Apple produces the Apple Watch Link Bracelet in both Space Black and natural steel. You can purchase the natural steel bracelet on its own, but for some reason, not the black one. There is also a $49 premium for the Space Black model over the natural steel. Is it worth it? Apple needs to use a complex chemical bonding process for each of the many parts of the Apple Watch Link Bracelet to make them deep gray in color. That adds time and expense. In the traditional replica watch world, a black case or bracelet might demand a several thousand-dollar premium, and a few hundred dollars at the least.

Apple-Watch-Edition-Yellow-Gold-Review-aBlogtoWatch--23

Apple-Watch-Edition-Yellow-Gold-Review-aBlogtoWatch--21

I actually found a rather cool and surprising combination for the Space Black Link Bracelet when I matched it to the Apple Watch Edition in 18k yellow gold. I’ve always been a fan of sport replica watches that combine black and gold colors, and it actually worked out rather well. Highly recommended. The natural steel Apple Watch Link Bracelet works well with the steel-cased Apple Watch, but one issue is that while the case is polished, the bracelet it brushed. That makes for a harsh transition between finishing styles. It doesn’t look bad, but it is something that might have possibly had a more elegant solution.

Apple-Watch-Edition-Yellow-Gold-Review-aBlogtoWatch--24

What I did find is that the Apple Watch Link Bracelet looks equally good on the Apple Watch as it does the Apple Watch Sport (both in the Space Black and natural versions with corresponding case colors). In a sense, the Apple Watch Sport looks a bit better with the Link Bracelets because the matte finishing on the aluminum cases is a bit more harmonious with the brushed finishing on the bracelet. Perhaps the most epic combination is the Apple Watch Sport in black with the Space Black Link Bracelet. With all that said, those people who can afford to spend the extra money for the bracelets will likely get the Apple Watch versus the Apple Watch Sport because of the better case material, the ceramic parts, and of course, the sapphire crystal. Perhaps Apple needs to add even more Apple Watch versions (and, naturally, run the risk of confusing even more consumers who haven’t taken the time to understand the new and admittedly complicated Apple Watch universe).

Apple-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Review-aBlogtoWatch-1-55

While the Apple Watch Link Bracelet looks cool with the Apple Watch, it isn’t going to be the type of bracelet you can likely get a super snug fit with. That means you probably don’t want it for sport purposes. As a style item or dress piece, the Apple Watch Link Bracelet is the top choice. Oh, and an important word for replica watch lovers like me who wear both a traditional mechanical replica watch and the Apple Watch: it looks weird when you wear the Apple Watch with the Link Bracelet on one wrist and another replica watch with a bracelet on the other. I recommend two replica watches with straps or only one with a bracelet.

Coolest Feature

Tool-less sizing is an amazing feat of engineering – as is the thin deployant clasp. Expensive, but worth it given the effort.

Price: $449

Ralph Lauren to Market Smart Shirt

Ralph Lauren to Market Smart Shirt

Ralph Lauren to Market Smart Shirt

When you hear the phrase “wearable devices” most of us think of smartwatches and fitness bands but the sky’s the limit when fashion designers start to create tech products. While wearables from high fashion brands have been pretty much restricted to predictable products like smart bracelets, Ralph Lauren is about to launch a new item that takes the marriage of style and technology one step farther.

This move into wearables is the PoloTech shirt, a smart shirt for men that is embedded with sensors that can read the wearer’s vital signs. Information on stress levels, calories burned, breathing and heart rates will be streamed to the user’s smartphone and used to create customized workout programs.

While sports brands like Adidas have previously marketed smart shirts, this is the first such item from a major luxury fashion house. The shirt was worn by Marco Giron at last year’s US Open tennis tournament but has not been on sale to the buying public.

The PoloTech is the result of collaboration between Ralph Lauren and Montreal-based wearable technology maker OMsignal. We can look for more smart garments in the future as fashion houses try to sell their products to the tech-loving public and tech companies strive to make their items less geeky and more stylish.

The Ralph Lauren PoloTech shirt will go on sale August 27 at select locations including the New York City Polo flagship store and the brand’s website. The shirt will also be available from August 31 to September 13 at the Ralph Lauren store at the US Open. The price? $295.

The smartshirt is compatible with Apple’s iOS and will work with an iPhone, iPod Touch or Apple Watch. The app is free on iTunes.

Apple Replica Watch Could Grab 40% of Market by 2020

Apple Watch Could Grab 40% of Market by 2020

Apple Watch Could Grab 40% of Market by 2020

The latest report on the Apple Watch holds potentially ominous news for the makers of both fitness bands and traditional timepieces. Could the smartwatch gobble up a major slice of the marketing pie by 2020?

A new report from Business Insider’s research arm BI Intelligence predicts that smartwatches in general and the Apple Watch in particular are siphoning off sales of fitness trackers in the wearable market. The report projects that as smartwatches become more feature-packed and less expensive they will drive down the demand for dedicated fitness bands like the Fitbit Force and Jawbone Up.

In 2014, fitness bands held a 54% share of the wearables market but that share is down to 48% this year and is expected to drop to 42% by 2020. The maker of fitness bands are already trying to stave off this threat by offering more attractive models for the fashion-conscious fitness buff like the Tory Burch-designed Fitbit available at Nordstrom stores.

There’s equally gloomy news for the makers of traditional timepieces as the report predicts that the Apple Watch will take over two-fifths of the market for luxury replica watches by 2020. That would leave just 60% for an industry that formerly controlled the whole enchilada.

The report acknowledges that even the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition isn’t likely to take the place of a $15,000 Rolex for most luxury minded customers but could do some serious damage at the lower end. “Assuming a lower-bound price of $350 for the luxury-watch category, and including Apple Watch in that category, traditional wristwatches would account for ~60% of total shipments in 2020, while Apple Watch would account for ~40%.”

Of course, these are just prognostications and are not guaranteed to come true. The makers of both wearables and luxury replica watches still have time to adapt to the threat posted by the smartwatch as well as the changing tastes of the buying public.
